For fundraising, of course!  However, we must warn you that a byproduct of this event is a night of great entertainment that you will be talking about for weeks to come.   This is like no other event you've ever attended.  

So, we've piqued your interest, huh?  Well,  it's about time that you treat yourself to an entertaining evening with friendly wagering for great prizes in the company of your friends and family members over the age of 21!  Since each year the ICS Night at the Races occurs on the day of the Kentucky Derby, our event will also feature a live simulcast of the Kentucky Derby on our huge,  dual 20 foot projection screens.  Tumbling Dice Entertainment, a NJ state licensed company, will be conducting the other "races" (which are actual, randomly selected, previously recorded horse races that will be projected on to a large screen) and emceeing the event.  In addition to the racing, the evening will also feature music, a complimentary cigar bar, prizes for the best "Derby" attire, prize drawings at the conclusion of the races, and a grand prize of a $3,000 scholarship award, good for ICS or IHS!  It is a fun, light hearted Kentucky Derby themed event that is designed to raise some money while bringing our ICS community and friends together in an entertaining way.

This is an easy one - $60.00 per person.   With each admission ticket, you will receive 500 Derby Dollars (used for wagering), access to our complimentary cigar bar, and the opportunity to participate in the best derby attire competition.  You must be age 21 or older to attend.

Full table packages are also available at a discount.  So grab a table and grab a few of your friends to join you!

Funny you asked.  Yes, there are several fun, and possibly lucrative, sponsorship opportunities.  We have "Race Sponsors",  "Horse Owners", a "Cigar Bar Sponsor", a "Paddock Sponsor", and a "Thoroughbred Sponsor" .  The only way to be eligible for the opportunity to win the $3,000 Scholarship Award is to participate in one of these sponsorships.

Technically, that's two questions, but we'll let you slide.  A Race Sponsor is our premier sponsorship opportunity and is limited in quantity to 12 - one for each race.  The cost of this sponsorship is $600.  

As a Race Sponsor, you will receive:

- Complimentary admission for 2

- 500 Derby Dollars

- Complimentary access to our cigar bar

- Access into the Winner's Circle during your sponsored race

- A commemorative Winner's Circle photograph

- Automatic entry into the $3,000 Tuition Credit Grand Prize Final (1 in 28 chance to win!)

- VIP seating

- Podium recognition

- Program recognition

A Horse Owner is exactly what it sounds like - an opportunity to "purchase" one of the 120 horses that will be running in the night's 12 races.  The cost of this sponsorship is $150 ($100 if purchased in advance). 

As a Horse Owner, you will receive:

- Exclusive naming rights to your horse

- Program recognition

If your horse wins its race:

- Podium recognition

- Access into the Winner's Circle after the race

- A commemorative Winner's Circle photograph

- Entry into the $3,000 Tuition Credit Grand Prize Final (1 in 28 chance to win!)

Besides the $3,000 Scholarship Award - which is only available to our "Race Sponsors",  "Cigar Bar Sponsor",  "Paddock Sponsor", "Thoroughbred Sponsor" and "Horse Owners" whose horses win the race, all those that participate in the event will have an opportunity to win prizes, which will be drawn at the end of the night.   The more Derby Dollars you accumulate throughout the night, the more raffle tickets you can earn to win one (or more) of our fabulous prizes.  So, the more you wager and win, the greater your odds of going home with a prize.

Placing wagers is simple - just visit one of the betting windows and one of our knowledgeable, courteous attendants will help you with your transaction.

Please remember that once a bet has been placed, it cannot be cancelled or changed, so please review it carefully.   

The minimum wager for each race is 100 Derby Dollars, and the maximum bet is unlimited.  However, if you run out of Derby Dollars, additional Derby Dollars can be purchased throughout the night of the event.

This a B.Y.O. food and drink event.  Please feel free to bring food and beverages of your choice.  However, if you prefer to be pampered, we will also have a Jefferson Bourbon bar and a Grape Expectations wine bar - complete with a professional bartender to prepare your preferred libation for a fee, of course - just remember the Mint Julep is the official drink of the Kentucky Derby!
